Connection Fittings are one of the most essential and core categories of power line hardware. -Mechanical Connection: Reliably connect conductors to insulators, insulators to towers, and conductors to conductors (e.g., splicing).

-Protection: Certain fittings (like shackles and clevises) provide articulation, adjustability, and stress relief, protecting other components from damage caused by vibration, galloping, or thermal expansion/contraction.

-Forming Assemblies: They work in conjunction with suspension clamps, tension clamps, and insulators to form complete insulator string assemblies or tower attachment systems.

Connection fittings are used to link insulators, conductors, shield wires (earth wires), and utility poles/towers to each other, forming reliable mechanical joints to ensure the stability and continuity of the line structure. They do not normally carry electrical current but provide crucial support and connection for current-carrying components.
