Types Of Fasteners

There are many types of fasteners, the most common ones include bolts, nuts, washers, screws, pins, rivets, etc. These fasteners are widely used in mechanical equipment, construction engineering, automobile manufacturing and other fields.

1. Bolt: Bolt is a fastener with external threads, usually used in conjunction with nuts to connect two or more parts. Bolts have strong tensile strength and shear strength and can withstand large loads.

2. Nut: Nut is a fastener used in conjunction with bolts, with internal threads inside. The nut bites the external threads of the bolt by rotation, thereby connecting and fixing the parts.

3. Washer: Washers are usually placed between bolts and nuts to increase the tightness and stability of the connection. Washers can prevent bolts and nuts from loosening or being damaged during tightening.

4. Screw: Screw is a fastener that is directly screwed into the interior of the connected part, and usually does not need to be used with nuts. Screws are suitable for occasions where the connection strength requirements are not high, such as the connection of materials such as wood and plastic.

5. Pins: Pins are mainly used to locate and fix parts, usually inserted into the holes of the connected parts. Pins have strong shear strength and can withstand large lateral loads.

6. Rivets: Rivets are fasteners that connect two or more parts together through the riveting process. Rivets undergo plastic deformation during the connection process, forming a permanent, non-detachable connection.
